- A note to anyone who might still be having problems with the exabyte.
- We have finally solved our problem. In the newer versions
- of vxWorks (I'll have to get the version number for anyone who needs it)
- the semaphore time out feature now works. The mv167 scsi driver uses
- a semaphore to wait for responses from the tape drive but it times
- out on any request where the data from the drive is not ready (ie an
- initial read operation). It looks like the drivers we not set up for
- tapes (just disks or fast scsi devices). We got a fix from wind river
- which basically set a WAIT_FOREVER on the semaphore. Seems to work
- well now.
