- Hi all,
-
- Technical question this one. (-: Sorry :-)
-
- For those on VMS 5.4 the correct minor ID of DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON
- is 00000D. Thats what it is on the Vax Station at work
- and that's what DEC say it should be, I asked. However, having
- sent out some beta software I have had two people in different parts
- of the world complain that their software don't run, and the problem
- has been traced to DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON having the wrong minor ID
- of 00000C. ie. their DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON is still at VMS 5.3
-
- Does this sound familiar to anyone ? If so, could you please E-mail
- me and I'll post a summary to the Net. If not, could I trouble
- 1 or 2 people who are on 5.4 to ANALYZE/IMAGE DECW$TRANSPORT_COMMON
- and let me know what their minor ID is. ( I think it's about the 5th
- line, but I'm not at work now, so I can't check for sure. )
-
- I hope this is clear, please let me know if it's not. One of the
- customers was in the US, the other in Japan. I'm in Australia. What I
- really need to know is is this mistake (which is what I assume it is)
- common.
-
- Thanks in anticipation,
-
- Ben A :-)
