  11. Hi all!  Happy holidays!

  13. The manual tells me that DCL will gladly accept commands of 1024
  14. characters although each individual line cannot go longer than 256
  15. characters. Can anyone fill me in on how this works? I read all over
  16. the FM for an example but couldn't find one.

  18. At first I thought that I could get really long lines by going:

  20.         $ 256 chars -
  21.           256 chars - etc...

  23. but no way. What gives? I've stumped all my local experts.
