- I have to disagree here. It has happened that I have posted
- questions to groups I do not read, and I think this is valid
- behaviour. After all, if you have an occassional VMS question,
- but does normally work with VMS, why should you subscribe?

- the responses you get, as other people might be interested as well.

- Granted, if you are making it a habit, you should definitely sub-
- scribe. Of course, you can subscribe for the time your question is
- out - and if you want to make sure that you don't miss anything,
- you'd better do. But as we all know, comp.os.vms has quite some
- traffic and not easily scanned. And if you don't have access to
- news, but have to choose the mailing-list, I can definitely under-
- stand that you think twice before you subscribe.
