- My employer has a VAX 8530 running VMS 5.4-2. All-In-1 is version 2.4.
- VMS Mail version unknown. I have been a user on this system for just over
- 1 year. The system administrator retired, and the person who is acting
- administrator until a permanent replacement can be found is doing just
- that- acting. Here's my problem:
-
- I used to have my VMS Mail forwarded to:
-
- SAC111::MRGATE::A1::ROSENC
-
- and just like magic, all of the messages sent to me by VMS Mail ended up
- in All-In-1, without having to use the (V)MS Mail Import option. I
- suspected that something might be wrong when my usual 6 to 12 messages /
- day suddenly dropped to zero. I attempted to send myself a VMS Mail
- message from another node (SAC200::). Eleven days later, the message was
- returned with a terse error message stating that the message was rejected
- at the remote node (SAC111::). The situation is now that A1 messages
- reach A1, Mail messages reach mail, but without using VMS Mail Import, VMS
- Mail messages are returned to sender. A1 messages to VMS Mail recipients
- work.
-
- Question: What happened to the mail router that it only works one way?
- Question: What help can I give the Acting Admin to fix it? (She has no clue)
-
- Thanks for any help you can give.
