  13.     I do not usually take part in discussions such as these, however, I would 
  14. like you to know that you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT for feeling like that.  The 
  15. first time I joined this list, I unsubscribed for that very reason.  Please 
  16. keep in mind, however, that no matter where you go, you will be in contact 
  17. with those who feel that they are superior to you because they have more 
  18. knowledge in an area which you seek information.  You must understand that 
  19. these people have such an intricate knowledge of a particular area that the 
  20. question which you ask them seems to them as common sense, and cannot 
  21. understand why you are asking such a 'stupid question'.  There are people like 
  22. that who are subscribed to this list.  Please understand, I am not attempting 
  23. to defend them, because I feel as you do; I am merely attempting to change 
  24. your mind with respect to this list and those who are subscribed to it. I 
  25. guess what I'm trying to say is -- you have to take the bad with good, as you 
  26. would anywhere else...
  27.     There is something more important to be gleaned from this list than mere 
  28. knowledge; It is the expirience of many people who have done what you wish to 
  29. do, and they will pass this expirience on to you.  If you are truly determined 
  30. to find the answer to your question, you will not be daunted by those who seek 
  31. to demean you, this should only strengthen your resolve.
  32.     To those of you who do tell people to RTFM, please understand that there 
  33. are those who do not have the resources as you do, and are requesting your 
  34. help... If you do not wish to give it, then do not, as is your right.
  35.     To those of you who feel that you are superior because of your level of 
  36. knowledge, keep in mind that YOU DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING.
  37.     And finally, to those of you who time and again answer those questions, 
  38. no matter how stupid, I thank you.  You are the real reason why people join 
  39. this list in the first place, and why they stay subscribed.
