  13. In order to sign off from the Info Vax News list, you
  14. have to determine WHERE the mail is coming from.  If you
  15. get full BSMTP headers, check specifically the
  16. "REPLY-TO" or "SENDER" headers.  If BOTH or EITHER of
  17. those appear and the sender is INFO-VAX@ followed by some
  18. name, then the answer is to try the sender from that
  19. system, i.e. if the sender was:

  21. INFO-VAX@BITNIC.BITNET
  22.  
  23.    or
  24. INFO-VAX%BITNIC.BITNET@PUCC.PRINCETON.EDU
  25.  
  26. Then you would want to reply to THAT specific listserv
  27. and ask it to sign you off the list.

  29. If the sender is something else, you would need to send
  30. a message to it and ask to stop the list; in my case,
  31. when I get messages on MCI Mail, the sender is
  32. "INFO VAX" / INFO-VAX@SRI.COM or INFO-VAX@KL.SRI.COM

  34. If this still doesn't work, take a copy of the message
  35. and forward it to me at TDARCOS@MCIMAIL.COM and I'll see
  36. if I can tell you whom is sending you the mail.
