  16.   The "Unexpected error X" will always translate to a RSTS error code which
  17. will provide more information. It's "unexpected" in that there is no code in
  18. BACKUP to handle the situation, as it's considered to be a problem somewhere
  19. else in the system.

  26.   You need to look in your controller's technical manual. TC6 is "Unrecover-
  27. able error, tape position lost". I'd suspect you need to get your drive or
  28. controller fixed. BTW, a number of so-called "compatible" controllers don't
  29. get along well with RSTS/E. They typically give you a TC6 as the end result.
