-
- As it turns out, the 12/92 CDROM shipped by the fullfillment center
- (Order Number CD122292 -- the 12/22/92 CDROM) is NOT a PDK -- this
- CDROM contains: (1) OS/2 2.1 beta, (2) MMPM/2, (3) the Developer's
- Toolkit [this confused the fullfillment center staffer into calling
- the Dec 92 CDROM a PDK], and (4) a debug version of the OS2 kernel.
-
- The most recent PDK is CD111692 (the 11/16/92 CDROM) which includes
- the CSet2 compiler, documentation, TCP/IP support, etc. However, it
- may be missing support for LanServer (which was included on Oct '92
- CDROM) and possibly a few other previously released beta materials.
- Tech Support advised me to get both Oct and Nov CDROMs for my work
- [distributed scientific image acquisition/processing system] -- but
- so far the fullfillment center can only find the Nov 92 PDK in their
- database. IBM National Support OS Help Center is trying to find the
- Oct 92 PDK order number for me right now.
-
- Sorry about the mistake. The 12/92 CDROM is definitely NOT the PDK!
-
- Thanks, AJ
