- I was wondering if there exists a PD or shareware C++
- Application Framework for OS/2 (before I take the plunge
- and write my own, which could take upwards a month or two.)
-
- If not, I'll write one (using GNU C/2 - the one w/o emx,
- since that's what I have.) Would there be any interest in such
- a beastie? (Free to beta testers, only $5 registration fee -
- don't want to get rich off it, just make some money for food.)
-
- An intial version, at a guess since I haven't thought it through,
- would allow the creation of windows and controls, an overlay of
- the GPI layer so you wouldn't have to redraw the screen yourself
- on every repaint message, and modal and modeless dialog box support.
- `

- Mostly I'm basing my ideas on a similair one I did for MS Windows
- (and subsequently lost to a hard disk crash and stupidly not
- backing up) and a very good book for those interested -
- _Windows++_ by Paul DiLascia. He opened my eyes to quite a
- few concepts ..
-
- Thanks for any replies

- I don't claim to speak for CADAM, much less IBM. And they
- definetly have not authorized me to do so.
