  11. The company I work for has 2 local area networks.  One network is
  12. token ring and is where the OS/2 machines live, the other is ethernet
  13. which is where all our Sun workstations are.
  14.  
  15. We use a PS/2 Model 70 to bridge between the two networks.  The Model 70
  16. is running:
  17.  
  18.     - OS/2 1.3
  19.     - LAN Server 2.0 (running as an additional server)
  20.     - IBM TCP/IP v1.2.1 (with the CSD applied I believe)
  21.  
  22. We use the Model 70 to mount directories on our Sun file server to move
  23. files back and forth between the two networks (it's slow, but it works).
  24. There is no problem mounting and accessing directories on the Sun if you
  25. are working on the Model 70.  However, if you try to access these mounted
  26. directories from a remote workstation (i.e. execute a "dir" command)
  27. via shared drives the following behavior occurs:

  29.     - Only a subset of the files/directories appear.  Other
  30.       files/directories that exist are not listed.
  31.     - Long numeric strings appear (e.g. 56723419) where the file
  32.       name would normally be.
  33.  
  34. I have noticed that freshly created directories will show up properly so
  35. the problem seems to involve the existing directories.

  37. This has me puzzled.  Any suggestions?
