- Has anyone successfully installed an AppleLaserWriter IINTX postscript
- printer on a Lan Server network.
-
- Initially, I created a net printer which, on the server, pointed to COM1
- (the printer is serial). I could get the server and requesters to
- print to the queue successfully from Word Perfect 5.1 if they were
- printing small documents. Only 2 pages would print for larger documents.
- The server can print anything successfully if pointed directly to COM1
- (but this ties up the printer and jams the queue for all requesters).
-
- I've played with printbuftime etc, as IBM thinks this is a timing problem;
- but no luck. I've considered turning the printer into a sharable serial
- device and have clients write directly to COM1, but we have several Dos
- Lan Requester machines on line, and IBM tells me this is not possible for
- them.
-
- Any help here would be greatly appreciated!
