- I've run several operating systems and all they can do is lock up. I picked up
- os/2 cuz it was supose to be much better and never lock up. ONly the individual
- windows could lock up. Welp. I seem tohave managed to even lock up OS/32
- OS/2 rather. On a regular basis. I am running a simple BBS in a full
- screen window and all goes perfectly fine untill someone tries to take
- a simple file directory and the whole machine simply crashes! What in the
- world is this?? I can't believe tha such a simple operatiion could crash
- this whole system. It gives methis huge error code (TRAP000e) or something
- and then a location number and tells me to report this to my representative.
- Too bad they don't supply a customer service number with the software. That
- may help somewhat. I guess I would understand this mor if I just knew what
- a crash simply was. It just doesn't click in my mind. I mean. Crash is
- obviously something you don't want. So, i think. If os/2 can compute enought
- to bring up this huge error code that it could just as well terminate the
- program and not crash at all??? That would make a slight more sense to me.
- I'm tired of operating systems crashing and then giving you an error code in
- an incomprehensible explanation. Perhaps if the error code were in english I
- wouldn't have to bother the customer service department at IBM. Oh well, I'm
- just letting off steam i guess. It all just seems really stupid that the only
- thing i can do to crash my entire system is such a simple procedure.
