- Hello,
-
- I am totally out of Ideas to get the new trident drivers running.
-
- My System: A plain vanilla 386/40 with Trident 9000 card and NEC Multisync II
- OS/2 2.0 GA+SP, Novell Requestor+NSD201+NSD202 (=Security Update)
-
- Problem: When booting with new drivers, the System hangs with blinking cursor
-
- I got the tri32new.zip from hobbes. I installed 640*480*256
- exactly as described there. I also tried 800*600*256, with same effect.
- I also archived every trident related postings here and tried everything
- described there.
- The SVGADATA.PMI was created from a DOS booted from floppy.
- When I replace the ibmdev32.dll with the original, the system runs
- again, but winos2 (with the trident driver) has the problem of disappearing
- mouse cursor when switching to the session).
-
- Any Ideas out there ?
-
- Some postings mentioned a more recent driver update (trid.update.exe ??),
- but I couldn't find any, neither on Hobbes nor on Watson. Was it removed?
- Can I find it elsewhere ?
-
- My config.sys has an entry device=c:\os2\mdos\vsvga.sys, which is mentioned
- nowhere. Is that correct ?
-
- Any help is gratefully appreciated!
-
- Regards
-
