  14. A very odd occurrence this morning.  I've been using OS/2 on my 8MB 486/33 for
  15. about 4 months, with no trouble at all.  Today, when I turned on the computer,
  16. it went through the usual boot procedure for awhile -- the screen went to 
  17. white, the little clock became a pointer, the Desktop 'exploded.'  And there it
  18. sat -- no icons, none of the startup windows, NOTHING more appeared.

  20. The first time this occurred, I rebooted and then it came up normally.  Next
  21. time I turned it on, it hung again with the white screen and a pointer, but
  22. neither warm nor cold boots would take the process any further.  I turned off
  23. the computer and let it sit for a few hours, and the next time I booted it 
  24. seems to have worked just fine (hey, I'm writing this note, so *something* is
  25. working).

  27. Any suggestions as to what might be happening?
