  11. I have had problems with various PM programs through several versions of OS/2
  12. (GA, beta, SP, b2.1). I had put it down to buggy shareware....which may still
  13. be the case.

  15. The latest example is this:

  17. I migrated a program called MAGNIFY.EXE to the desktop. The first time I ran
  18. it, I got the little magnifying glass and the viewing window just fine (you
  19. can save what you magnify as a .bmp file if you want).

  21. The second time I tried to run it when I double-cliccked on the Magnify icon
  22. all I got was the Window List......
  23.  
  24. I happened to be on the phone at the time to my local IBM rep and he said it
  25. worked fine for him.....must be my non-IBM hardware :-). I asked him how he
  26. had installed it on his machine and he said he did NOT use the migrate
  27. applications....

  29. So....I dragged a program templat on to th desktop and installed it that way
  30. (giving drive:\path\program.nam).

  32. It runs just fine now. I had the same problem with PMGlobe32 on the GA
  33. version.....but installed using the templates it works just fine! I now recall
  34. several programs i have junked because of this....

  36. There is obviously some sort of problem with the Migrate Applications function
  37. and OS/2 progams.....or the programs cause MigApp some sort of heart-ache.
