  38. Hmm, I had that information straight from an Adaptec Senior Engineer
  39. (that the PROM upgrade is only for MS-DOS and would break most of the
  40. other drivers in embedded support (OS/2, UNIX)) because they relied on
  41. the translation being done the 'old' way.  Apparently ONE of you is
  42. mistaken; what I need now is a good way to know which of you it is.

  45. UNDER 1G (1.2G unformatted capacity), so I don't think I gain anything
  46. right now from the new PROMs.  Should I worry about getting them
  47. anyway (AHA-1740 controller), and if I do, what will and will not
