- I will contend that you can run LPT ports at the same IRQ on an
- ISA bus with OS/2 and do it safely. Normally though you would
- want LPT2 on IRQ5, but it should be safe to try both at 7. If
- you have a LPT3 then it is supposed to be set at IRQ7, with LPT1.
- I remember reading an article in a IBM Personal Systems Technical
- Solutions magazine describing how OS/2 can have LPT1 and 3 both on
- IRQ7 by using some special programming. From the description given,
- if you get two print jobs going at the same time on the same IRQ
- OS/2 can handle that, but to do this it sounded like they had to use
- alot of processor cycles to accomplish this feat.
- I cannot find the article, but I am quite sure it exists. I may
- have left that particluar issue at home?
