- OK, I have a Trident 8900c with 1meg and have been running 800x600x256 colors
- with the 16bit drivers and everything has been just fine. Except of course for
- those stupid messed up settings boxes. I heard all the talk about the new 32
- bit drivers that supposedly support the palette manager. So I downloaded the
- NEW ones, not the original so-called 'leaked' ones. They install just fine and
- of course they work fine. The colors are a bit different, they seem to be a bit
- darker. But that's ok. So I decided to check out this new palatte manager thing
- and downloaded IMSHOW. It turns out that it totally screws up my palette and
- no colors are correct at all. Is there something I am missing? I ran the
- physcolo program and it filled itself up with lots of pretty colors, although
- they didn't blend together very well as one would expect.
-
- Am I missing something with these new drivers? I really would like to be able
- to use the palette manager in the program that I want to write.
-
- And does anyone know if the virtual desktops are coming back? I have gotten
- very addicted to the 1000x1000 on my 14inch monitor.
-
- Thanks
- Keith
