  12. Speaking of parallel ports, the one on the multifunction card I just got
  13. has a jumper for "TRUELY BI-DIRECTIONAL" operation where the
  14. "...direction is controlled by printer 'CONTROL' register as follows:
  15.     bit 5 of CONTROl register
  16.         1    input
  17.         2    output"
  18.  
  19. If I set the jumper for bidirectional operation, am I depending on the
  20. printer electronics to set that bit correctly? Do all printers do it
  21. correctly?
