  12. I have a strange problem thats occurring with my system. I'm running
  13. OS/2 2.0 (GA+SP) with Trident 16 bit 800x600x16 video drivers.

  15. Super VGA currently works fine. I have seamless windows and Full
  16. screen windows at 640x480x256. SVGA DOS programs work great.

  18. Now if I load some device drivers in my CONFIG.SYS (OS/2 drivers)
  19. the system still works but DOS SVGA no longer works. Also, Windows
  20. at 640x480x256 full screen acts as if SVGA was disabled.

  22. The device drivers in particular are:

  24.    1. SBOS2.SYS - Sound blaster beta driver
  25.    2. FMD.SYS   - BitFax for OS/2 device driver
  26.    3. SIO.SYS   - Beta comms drivers.

  28. I think I've tracked down what's different with these drivers to the
  29. normal OS/2 drivers. They display a message on the screen when
  30. booting up to confirm they installed correctly.

  32. It would appear that any device driver that accesses the screen on
  33. boot disables my SVGA!

  35. Has anyone encountered this? Got any theories as to how I could
  36. confirm/deny the above? Better yet, anyone know how I can fix it!!

  40. 386DX/40Mhz
  41. 8MB Ram
  42. Trident 9000 512K SVGA card
  43. Soundblaster Pro (IRQ5 DMA1 ADDR220)
  44. April Fax/Modem internal card (COM1 - COM1 disabled on motherboard).
