- -After I applied the Service Pak, My DOS games either die after
- -start or there is no animation. What's wrong with the new
- -DOS VDM? Has anyone experienced the same? Thanks!
-
- I also noticed that I am unable to run many DOS graphics-based apps
- (some of them games), on the workplace shell anymore (as the 'video mode
- is not supported') using the Tseng drivers. Although, once the game is in
- motion, I can often bring the session back into a window and have it
- looking just fine (being that I have a 24-bit card). And what IS it with
- the speed of the new graphics engine??? Hmmmm....
-
- More general, I'm finding my system hanging often on a hard drive access
- that never returns (ie, drive is selected, no activity). I STILL have to
- use the old OS/2 LA drivers get make the hard drives usable.
-
- SBOS2 no longer functions properly after SP, and the digital clock is
- STILL broken (and, yes, you still can't change the font).
-
- And finally, most DOS applications that use the 'load EXE' call to load
- other exectables STILL doesn't work (some programs have a special loader
- that run another executable). (WOW! nice upgrade).
-
- Hmmmm, can't wait to see what is (not) fixed in 2.1 . Grrrr.....
