- Thanks for some feedback on this from within IBM. Perhaps the right people could
- be reminded that at least in Academia it can be pretty hard to get things
- like Compuserve accounts approved. IBM has in the past been a greater supporter
- of communication with and between universities (e.g., much investment in
- setting up BITNET), presumably in part because it recognizes that the many
- students who pass through our classes and labs eventually emerge in the real
- world as potential customers.

- My own interest in OS/2 includes a desire to develop data acquisition software;
- hence I enrolled in the DAP. (In the meantime I have found DOS emulation works
- quite well with some of our existing hardware and software.) I could get a Com-
- puserve account myself if I had to, but it certainly would be much more conve-
- nient to be able to communicate with the usual DAP contacts through this net.
