- Well, the internet newsgroups all get shadowed into IBM on a read-only basis.
- People can arrange to post out, and there are a few who do on regular basis.
-
- Research, Austin (AIX development) and some other pockets of IBM have more
- direct access. While most of those people (myself included) don't have
- any direct responsibilty for OS/2, we try and get word back to people when
- it's important.
-
- From my perspective, what matters the most is that when something happens
- that makes people on the internet really yell, there's a pretty good chance
- that someone who can do something about it will see it and look into the
- problem. It's not the way to solve day to day problems, nothing informal
- ever is.
-
- I don't think anyone's got formal repsonsibility to "talk to the internet"
- But I'll ask in some of our internal discussions and see where that
- stands these days.
