  14. I tried obtaining the beta CD using the number posted in the original
  15. announcement (800-IBM-3040).  The person I talked to did not know anything
  16. about the beta program.  She had seen the announcement that was posted to
  17. the net (judging by the sound of her voice, she had received a bunch of
  18. calls already).

  20. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER ON THE ORIGINAL POSTING.

  24. I called this morning and placed an order.  The beta CD should start
  25. shipping in about two weeks.  Since this will be a wide spread beta and the
  26. beta program ends at the end of Feb., I wouldn't expect a release until
  27. early to mid March.
