- The problem is that OS/2 loads up a ClipBoard, and a DDE "exchange agent"
- that runs with Win-OS2. Now, when you start a WIN-OS2 session, any subsequent
- windows sessions that are NOT marked to be run as a SEPERATE SESSION have
- their icons remain open until ALL MSwindows (of the same session) apps
- are closed. So, that also means you need to kill the DDE client, and
- clipboard. Hit control-escape, and you will probably see them going,
- even after you quit the windows app.
-
- As an example, if you run Word 2.0 & Excel seamlessly, and decide to exit
- Excel, even after excel quits, the icon is still looks busy. That's because
- the windows subsystem hasnt released its hold or whatever on it. Now,
- if you quit Word 2.0, both will become "unbusy". Same goes for if you
- had say... 5 seamless apps going (seamless or nonseamless, it doesnt matter.
- Icon still gets marked as busy.), any that you close will still be marked
- busy until all are closed.
-
-
- But, I think your main problem is that "dde client/clipboard", but
- also, just make sure Win-OS2 isnt hanging around after you wuit your
- MSwin apps, because they dont get unshaded till it is gone either.
