- Is it possible to run programs build with the emx library (such as the GNU
- utilities grep and diff) in a DOS box? When ever I try I get the message
- DPMI not supported. I did put the emx.exe in my dos path. Also I tried
- all DPMI settings (auto, enabled, disabled) with no avail.
-
- Something else. I've put a shadow of the alarm applet in my startup folder.
- But every time I boot, alarm is opened and put on the foreground. Is there
- a way to start it minimized. To the opposite, I have an OS/2 box which
- executes a mode co80,50. So every time I open this box, I have to maximize
- it manualy to see the window totaly. Can I automize these procedures? I already
- tried a shift - minimize/maximize with no luck.
-
- Furthermore I tried the screensaver YowZa. When I load it, it has no icon,
- but does appear in the ctrl-esc list. OK. As soon I double click on it, it
- hangs my system! No OK. Another problem I have with DeskPic. After loading, all
- icons on the desktop are vanished (probably covered by DescPic), and it does
- not appear in the ctrl-esc list. With both screensavers I see no way to
- configure them, nor to get rid of them (without killem). Anyone got these
- work properly?
