- (you may have already seen a similar message in .misc from me)
-
- I'm having trouble getting TE/2 to work properly with Emacs. Prior
- to December, I had an older 1.2 TE/2 release (the one that first came
- out with the buggy COMMPAK.DLL). I used this version of TE/2 with the
- old .DLL and the new .DLL without having any trouble with Emacs on
- my Unix account.
-
- Then came the 'unofficial' release of the Trident 32-bit drivers. I did
- not get these to work for me, and had to re-install my entire system. In
- the process, I had to install the latest shareware release of TE/2 (slightly
- different color scheme than the original) since I'd gotten it for the new
- COMMPAK.DLL.
-
- After installing the new version, I noticed that it was not Emacs-friendly. If
- I scroll backwards on a line using either arrow keys or C-b, then characters
- the cursor passes over disappear. I can get them back on the screen if
- I do a screen refresh (C-l), but I shouldn't have to.
-
- This could be a modem setting, something in my initialization string possibly.
- Or it could be some subtle programming difference with TE/2.
-
- If anyone has any advice on this, I'd be happy to hear it!
-
- Cheers,
