  14. Having installed gtak 201 binaries on a friend's machined with
  15. a Future Domain 950 and Wangtek 6130 (?), I have some questions.
  16. Doing a 'tar cp .' seems to chunk away nicley, with only an error
  17. message about not being able to back up swapper.dat.  Fine.  Reading
  18. with 'tar tpv' gives several errors about unrecognized file type and
  19. it stops part way thru the archive.  After much trial and error, it
  20. seems it can be restarted at the point it dies, and it only complains
  21. that what it sees doesn't look like tar format, then it picks up for
  22. awhile, and the error process is repeated.  All this on an hpfs volume,
  23. with much the same story when run against dos fat partitions on the
  24. same disk.  xp and xpv give much the same story.  System is a 486/33
  25. isa with the service pack installed and the winos2 3.1 beta.
