- I just called the CMS people today about the CMS Jumbo support under Sytos Plus.
-
- There is, in my opinion, one serious problem. According to the two CMS reps
- that I spoke to, the Tapes created under Sytos Plus will not work with DOS
- based tape software and vice-versa. While that is acceptable for storage/
- backup/archiving purposes, I need to use the tape also to transport data
- from DOS-based end-user sites to my OS/2 system and vice-versa. My only
- solution, then, is to get out of OS/2 and boot (ergh) DOS and run the tape
- software and re-enter OS/2 or possibly buying Sytos Plus for DOS at $350
- per end-user site. (Neither is pretty, although I can certainly live with
- the first alternative for now...)
-
- Oh well...
