- You can setup a single domain consisting of OS/2 and NT servers. But there are
- several restrictions. The most important, which probably apply to you are:
-
- 1) You must have "LAN-Manager for Windows/NT" (the purple CD).
- 2) The Primary Domain-Controller must be an NT machine.
- 3) The OS/2 Servers can only be STANDALONE or MEMBER servers, not BACKUP

-
- The solution for your problem is:
-
- 1) When setting up Networks in NT, choose Workgroup, not domain
- 2) Choose your OS/2 domain name as the workgroup name. This makes your
- NT machine work like a Standalone-Server in your Domain
- 3) After setup is complete, log in as "Administrator".
- 4) Create an account matching your Userid/Password on the OS/2 Domain.
- 5) Add this account to the Group "Administrators" on the NT machine to
- gain full access by using this account.
- 6) Share the CD-ROM Drive with NET SHARE CDROM=F:\ (or similar statement)
- 7) Grant Read and Execute permission to "Everyone" and "Guests" to the
- share. (from the Filemanager SHARE-Button)
