- I am a developer for NT and I am looking to buy a multiprocessor (MP)
- machine for NT development. But when I saw the prices I almost fainted :-).
- So I decided to check first if anyone out there has experience with
- MP machines and would like to share their experiences.
- Did the machine performed well? Does NT speedup at all? I was reading that
- there are some problems with the MP kerel and there are some fixes. How stable
- is NT under MP compared with a single processor machine.
- Also, since most of my computers run DOS/Windows, is anything else except
- file server that I can use this machine for? Is there any machine that
- provides special programs that help DOS/Windows to take advantage of
- the many processors?
- Finally, are these machines reliable? I am afraid that since this is very
- compilacted machine, they would have reliability problems.
- Thanks in advance
- Yours sincerly
- Apostolos
