  11. My question is regarding disk compression and DOS program
  12. compatibility under Win NT. I have 2 200MB hard drives: drive 
  13. C is uncompressed and drive D is compressed under Stacker. I 
  14. do not have enough free disk space to hold all my data and 
  15. files uncompressed, but would like access to them both under 
  16. Win NT and from DOS.

  18. To accomplish this, I need to know:

  20. * Can I create a NT filesystem that supports compression?
  21.  
  22. * Is this type of filesystem stable, or is my data at risk of
  23.   being corrupted and lost?
  24.  
  25. * Could "cpbackup" be used to backup, and "cpbackup" under a 
  26.   DOS window under NT be used to restore my files to that 
  27.   filesystem?
  28.  
  29. And having done this--if it's possible--I'd then need to know
  30. how good NT is about running DOS programs under a DOS window.
  31. Programs that I have that come to mind are foxpro 2.0, 
  32. wordperfect 5.1 for dos, automap, and procomm plus 2.0 for dos.
