- I am urgently looking for a clear explanation of the format of
- Windows Metafiles (the files normally have the suffix .WMF).
-
- I've searched CompuServe, and have the Microsoft Programmer's
- Reference for Win3.0. Neither of these has quite what I want.
- Ideally it should lay out exactly the structure of a WMF file,
- ie what goes in the header, what bytes define pens and lines,
- how to draw a box/polygon etc. Most references I've found
- show you how to write a metafile _using Windows API calls_.
- That's _not_ what I want.
-
- The explanation is needed by someone who is writing a program
- to convert his graphics format into WMF. The program will be
- written under VMS Fortran or C.
-
- Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
