- I recently purchased a Gateway 2000 4DX2-66V with a local bus ATI Graphics
- Ultra Pro, and was wondering if anyone out there has noticed bizarre behavior
- in Windows. Here's what I mean:
- 1) Printing: I use a Panasonic KX-P1124i and notice that whenever I
- Print from Windows, some lines are missing and out of place,
- and generally not good. This happens when I use a variety of
- the Epsonlike printer drivers, such as NEC, Epson, IBM, and
- Panasonic.
- 2) Norton Desktop for Windows 2.0: Good luck. If I'm lucky I can
- get this one to load.
- 3) Microsoft Golf for Windows: 'Box' appears around player in any of
- the 16-bit color modes.
- 4) Caseliner 3.5: Dotted lines do not appear properly on-screen.
-
- I have NONE of these problems when I switch from the ATI mach 32 drivers to
- 8514/a, Crystal Fonts, or VGA. But there is quite an obvious speed penalty.
- I am up to build 50 on the mach 32 drivers, but they have yet to correct ANY
- of the problems I have had. Anyone have any hints? Suggestions? Fixes?
