- I just bought a NEC Intersect CD-ROM drive that was packaged with a Pro
- Audio Spectrum card. The whole package is called the NEC Multimedia
- Gallery. The problem I'm having is getting the sound card to work under
- Windows. Previously I had a SoundBlaster Pro, but I took this out. It
- seems that NEC forgot to include the ProAudio diskette, so I don't have
- any Windows drivers. I saw there were some on ftp.uwp.edu, but I
- haven't gotten them to work yet. Does anyone know exactly what drivers
- need to be installed for Windows to work with the sound card?
- In my config.sys, I have the following lines, which were installed by
- the nec installation program:
-
- DEVICE=C:\NEC\NECCDR.SYS /D:NECCD
- DEVICE=C:\NEC\MVSOUND.SYS D:3 Q:7
- DEVICE=C:\NEC\SNDBK12.SYS 1 7 220 2
-
- I assume the last two have something to do with the sound card. The
- sound card works under DOS; I have gotten several games to work with
- perfectly. But I can't figure out what I need for Windows. If anybody
- has a similar setup, please let me know.
-
- Thanks!!
