  12. When I change floppies on my system, I get a volume ID change yet
  13. the directory contents remain unchanged. I can force a change by
  14. hitting a Cntl-C. I have swapped both drives and controller cards as
  15. well as verified the DC options are in place on both drives. The
  16. system is configured as follows:

  18. Acer 486dlc 33Mhz Motherboard with Math Coprocessor
  19. 8 Meg. Memory
  20. 200 Meg. Maxtor Hard Drive
  21. 3" TEAC Floppy Drive
  22. 5" TEAC Floppy Drive
  23. Hitachi CDR-3600 CD Rom Reader
  24. CMS 250 Tape Reader
  25. Soundblaster board
  26. Internal Modem
  27. Mainlan Ethernet Card
  28. Trident 8900C Video
  29. MSDOS 5

  31. I have run test without autoexec.bat and config.sys installed as
  32. well as disabled shadow rom and caching to make sure there were no
  33. unknown interdependencies. The system will reliably recognize the
  34. changing of disk volumn, yet the directory contents will remain
  35. unchanged. I have no idea of what to do next. Any help would be
  36. appreciated.
