  11. Is there a need to re-format an IDE drive when it is placed on a
  12. different manufacturer's host adapter in the same PC?  I noticed while
  13. changing an IDE drive the other day that the new IDE host adapter was
  14. able to read and write to an IDE drive formatted by another
  15. manufacturer's host adapter without any obvious problems.
