- Is there a need to re-format an IDE drive when it is placed on a
- different manufacturer's host adapter in the same PC? I noticed while
- changing an IDE drive the other day that the new IDE host adapter was
- able to read and write to an IDE drive formatted by another
- manufacturer's host adapter without any obvious problems.
