  13. I was recently given an old Orchid designer 800 VGA card. It appears to have
  14. an ET3000(AX) chip, 256K of memory (expandable to 512K), and 2 external
  15. connectors (a 9 and 15 pin connector). No documentation. I'd like to use
  16. it in my 40 Mhz 386 box upgraing from CGA. Some questions:
  17.  
  18. 1. Can someone tell me what the DIP switches and jumper mean? There are
  19.    4 DIP switches accessable from the back panel and a single jumper
  20.    near the back panel.
  21.  
  22. 2. Is there any way I can use this card with either a CGA or monochrome
  23.    monitor? I'll be getting a VGA monitor sometime in Feb.
  24.  
  25. 3. Will this card run X under Linux? Is there anything special I'd have to
  26.    to do to get it to work?
