  11.     I finally got hold of the SLS distribution and am now ready to install
  12. the package.  But when I boot off the a1 disk, this is what happens :

  15. Press <RETURN> to see SVGA-modes available or <Space> to continue.

  17.     The above text is not exact, but it is the first prompt that comes
  18. up after the loading..... stuff..  The keyboard works just fine while the
  19. dots are being printed (e.g. while it is loading) but the minute it goes 
  20. to prompt me the keyboard locks up and I cannot do anything anymore, not
  21. even a alt-ctr-del.

  23.     I read through all of the FAQs I could find but none of them seem
  24. to have any information on this sort of problem.  I wish it was something
  25. I could fix but I don't know what else to try.  I fiddled with all the CMOS
  26. options but none of them solved the problem.

  28.     Please, if you know how to fix this let me know.  I would greatly
  29. appreciate any help I can get in this matter.  It is quite frustrating to
  30. know how great linux is, and all the stuff I could be doing with my IBM,
  31. but instead am twiddling with CMOS and begging drive A: to please work
  32. this time....
