- I have a few quick (I hope !) questions pertaining to minicom.
-
- I have gotten it to work, and have applied the patch to get it to work in
- 0.99p1. I have a couple of glitches and was wondering if there is some
- setup option I'm missing, or if it truely is a glitch.
-
- 1) My backspace produces a ^? response from my online system. This
- indicates to me that it doesn't understand what I'm doing when I press the
- backspace key. I've tried it with both the BS and DEL settings from the
- configure menu. Both give identical results. I'm dialing into SunOS on an
- old Sun 2 and have emulation set to vt100. Procomm Plus (via Mush-DOS)
- works fine...what's the deal?
-
- 2) If I try to change the backspace setting while in a session, minicom
- locks up. Bug or user-err? I'm clueless.
-
- 3) Is there a way to get minicom to use my entire screen (height-wise)? I
- find it annoying to have it use only a portion of my screen for output.
-
- 4) If the above isn't available is there any scroll-back mode or command
- available?
-
- 5) I'm a programmer and can add these things once I study the code for a
- while. Is there anyone actively working on feature additions for minicom?
- Who is it?
-
- I'm looking to replace Procomm Plus from DOS, and minicom comes close, but
- there are still a few things missing before I switch. I can work on it,
- but need a little direction before I begin.
-
- Thanks,
-
- -Jeff.
