  23. Sorry, I didn't see the Xconfig, since I just joined today.  I did browse
  24. the group, before my query..   I didn't see anyone really confirm what i
  25. needed to know, so I thought I'd ask again.    I am so new to Linux that I
  26. don't know what a Xconfig is yet, but I still have much reading to do.

  28. One can run X in 800x600x256 with the ATI Graphics Ultra Plus, yes?

  31. BTW, I have gotten perhaps 3 replies, all confirming use of ATI GUP, but
  32. none specifying which modes..  DV/x only used 256 colors in the 1024x768
  33. mode on my card, which I thought sucked.   (1kx768 is interlaced on my
  34. monitor.. flickers very badly)  I'll be posting a summary before Friday, to
  35. ensure I get as many responses as possible.
