- This is utter rubbish. While I appreciate the sentiment, I am just
- one of a (large) team, each of whom are contributing equally.
-
- I know this is hopeless, but to help combat this sort of perception,
- I have been slowly compiling a new file to add to SLS. It is called
- simply "credits", and it contains a list of names of individuals that
- I know of who have significantly contributed to Linux. Names are
- currently listed alphabetical order but that should/will be changed
- to what is my perception of the cronological order of the
- persons appearance on the scene (contribution wise). While it does
- not contain Turing, it does contain a few names that set the foundations
- for this kind of phenomonem (sp?).
-
- The file, which follows this paragraph, is really little more than
- a sketch, as it captures probably < 10% of those it should. So
- please send me your entry if you belong. As if that is not enough
- to ask, I would also ask each of you to send me a biographical
- paragraph or two on yourselves (professionally) to add to the end
- of the list.
-
- I know it is a lot to ask, but it would help me from having to
- fend off credit, and who knows: maybe it might be useful to you
- someday as one of the worlds cheapest resume services :-).
- Don't be modest. Let me be the editor.

- Herein find a very week attempt at acrediting work to some of the
- pioneers who helped shape Linux to its current form. If you don't
- see your name here, and it should be here, let me know. And it
- will be added. Also, if you don't want your email address used
- please say so, and I will remove it. The acronym LOOS stands for
- Lots Of Other Stuff.
