- I've been working on a partial rewrite of the serial driver, in an
- attempt to speed it up and fix some of the other problems people have
- been complaining about. This version should be a lot more reliable,
- especially on systems with unusual serial boards or other unusual
- hardware.

- If you're not afraid to recompile kernels and play with test versions of
- device drivers, I'd really appreciate if you give my new driver a try.
- It can be found on tsx-11:/pub/linux/ALPHA/serial/serpatches.
