- I think you missed the point somewhat. I was talking about the SLS
- distribution specifically. This is a floppy based distribution and most
- people use MS-DOS machines to transfer at some stage, hence the MSDOS
- filename restrictions.

- Another (small) point. The minix file system does not have the stupid
- MS-DOS file system limitations, it just has a 14 character limit. MS-DOS
- has a few more restrictions: case-insensitivity, max 1 '.', 8 chars before
- '.', 3 after ...
- Yet another thing: The minix file system is *fast*.
