- Hello. I am running Xfree86 without major problems. My hat
- goes off to the people who have worked on this. It is without doubt
- a great accomplishment. Thank you gentlemen!.
- OK, so much for praise, albeit deserved. I do have a couple of nagging
- details, which I hope any reader may help out with. I am running Linux
- 0.99 on a 486/33 w/ 8 megs ram, TVGA 8900c, clock 65 Mhz (1024x768).
- Upon exit from X ( any which way, killing server or graceful) I get a
- blank screen. Oh, I can type, but no echo or anything is visible ( it
- is dark in here...) So, if anyone knows how to fix this, please
- POST the solution. I somehow am sure I am not the only one with this
- problem, if you pardon my presumptions. Post your solution, please.
-
- The other question, relates to xterm. I _think_ I can get
- a scrollbar by starting it by xterm -T bubba -sb -sl 25,000 :),
- but I havent tried it. Is this correct? You can e-mail me your "yes"
- or "no". Please, it does not take long. Can I recompile a new xterm
- from somewhere else? Can anyone point me to sources for other xterms
- not standard with the distribution (free of course )?
- Thanks for your time. thanks for X. Adios. -JEM-.
