- I've just gotten Linux running here, but I'd like to get it booting from
- the hard disk. I've tinkered with LILO, but I can't seem to get past
- first base, perhaps someone could lay down the steps for me. The system
- is a 386DX-20 with 8mb RAM, 100mb IDE drive dedicated to Linux. I have
- created a Minux root partition, and an extended file system partition,
- both seem to work fine. X-Windows is running fine after wrestling with
- the clock parameters. I'm new to Unix, but I've got lots of MS-DOS
- and mainframe miles. :-)

- On another topic, I'm busy making modifications to this disk, but I really
- don't have any way of backing it up, what facilities are available for
- backup? I have a Wangtek 5150 with a QIC-02 adapter, is that a supported
- device? I'd eventually like to move Linux over to a 486DX-25 with a SCSI
- drive if I can get it running here.
