  13. I have this system: Toshiba 386/20, 100mb Hard drive internally,
  14. 387-20 math coprocessor and a Adaptec 1542, with Syquest SQ5110
  15. (external 88mb removeable)[SQ5110 not yet installed]. 
  16. SLS version .99 is installed.

  18. I am new to Linux/Unix and C. I do have novice experience in DOS.
  19. I have read a lot of the Linux documentation. However, I am still
  20. new and wonder about the following question(s):

  24. subj#2: I want to install Lilo version 7 in the following manner:
  25. OS2/2.0 Boot Master on /dev/hda3.  OS2 HPFS on /dev/hda2.  Linux on
  26. /dev/hda1.  Information is as reported by Linux fdisk.  I keep
  27. wondering why OS2 Boot Master is not /dev/hda1 and HPFS /dev/hda2.
  28. Later I will work in my new SCSI disk and controller; it is not
  29. operable at present.  After I download "LILO7.TAR.Z" I know to
  30. uncompress, then tar it to disk A. From there?????

  32. Question #2: What would I do to get it into etc/lilo (if thats
  33. where it all goes)[from a dos disk with lilo7.tar.Z renamed
  34. lilo7.taz?]. how do I make(step by step )? [I did read the lilo.doc;
  35. did purchase and am reading Unix for Impatient and System Admin book
  36. recommended from somewhere; probably FAQ_11.25]
