- I found that I couldn't do a "three finger salute" on my notebook pc when Linux
- was running until I turned off the shadow ram bios in my bios set up. Shadow
- ram consumes 128K, and is a copy of the rom bios (slow) running in ram (fast).

- As far as I can tell, Linux only uses bios during boot, so I turn off shadow
- ram (and get an extra 128K) when I run Linux.

- The same version of SLS loaded onto a friend's machine does not have this
- problem. So, this may be indicative of particular clone configurations.

- My notebook (TI 3000) uses a blend of Phoenix and Quadtel bioses.
