  26. Are you sure the keyboard is >dead<?  When I press one of the lock
  27. keys, all of my keystrokes are converted into CTRL chars.  So,
  28. pressing `a' gives me ^A, pressing `d' lets me logout (with ^D) etc.
  29. This is useful because, at least, if you have a `sync' in your shell
  30. history, you can use `p' (which gives you ^P) to access it.
